NJT Railroad Operation Center (ROC)

The ROC Unit Substation was constructed adjacent to the ROC at the Meadows Maintenance Complex and is the central point for NJ TRANSIT rail operations. It requires a highly reliable electrical power system. The electrical system serving the ROC was damaged by submergence in contaminated salt water during Superstorm Sandy in October 2012. This project replaced the storm damaged equipment and elevates the new equipment to prevent damage from future inundation.
