Bay Park Conveyance-Design Build

In an effort to improve the water quality in the Western Bays, including Reynolds Channel, Northeast Remsco and John Picone, Inc. entered into a unique partnership to implement a project that will remove up to 90% of the nitrogen loading in an already compromised area. Treated dry weather flow, and up to 75 million gallons per day (MGD) of wet weather flow which will be diverted from the Bay Park Sewage Treatment Plant to the Cedar Creek Water Pollution Control Plant to be discharged via the existing ocean outfall at that site.

Work included installation of approximately 19,000 linear feet of FRP lined RCP via microtunneling and approximately 37,000 linear feet of FRP via sliplining into an existing 72″ aqueduct underneath the Sunrise Highway.
